Questions, answered.
A tiny companion that lives on your Mac and remembers what happens across your apps - the threads, the docs, the tabs - so you stop re-explaining your own work every time you need to act on it. Think of it as your second brain, queryable from anywhere. No integrations.
Press ⌥ Option anywhere you type. Goldfish reads the context already in front of you and helps you reply, write, summarize, or continue. You can also chat with full context from the aquarium in the notch. Or in Claude through the local MCP. Oh, and it identifies your repetitive workflows for you.
Goldfish already knows what you're working on. It doesn't just write in your tone - it writes with the context you would otherwise have to explain manually.
Goldfish captures the context of your work as it happens, then turns it into searchable local memory - so you don't have to explain everything again every time you ask AI for help. It also auto-generates a wiki of your life that you can browse.
Anywhere there's a text field on your Mac - email, Slack, WhatsApp, Notion, your browser, your editor. If you can type into it, Goldfish can help in it.
Yes. Goldfish learns your writing style across your apps, scenarios and people, so replies read like you wrote them. It also learns your recurring workflows over time, and notices forgotten follow-ups and nudges you before they slip.
It can. Goldfish connects automagically to Claude Desktop through local MCP, so your computer's context is available right where you already think and write.
Your data stays yours - no one can see your data, not even the makers of Goldfish. It is stored in a SQLite database on your Mac, not in the cloud. AI requests run through Azure OpenAI with zero data retention and no training on your data.
It's free while we're in beta. Enjoy :)
Goldfish is built by Joel and Kaspian, two Swedes building from San Francisco. We started Goldfish because we think AI should understand the context of your work without you having to copy-paste, explain, or repeat yourself.
